April is Youth Month: NCFCU has financial literacy available for your kids
April is National Credit Union Youth Month! If you follow our blog at all, you know that NCFCU is very excited about this!😀 If you didn’t know this, check out our articles about Youth Month and the launch of the Wilderness Savings Club. We know that our younger members are the future of our Credit Union and investing in their financial future is very important to us.
In January 2021, we recreated and launched our Wilderness Savings Club, a youth program designed to make saving money fun and rewarding for our young members. Along with the Wilderness Savings Club launch, one of our team’s goals was to provide financial literacy to help educate youth members.
Here are worksheets available for you to open, if you would like to provide financial literacy for your kids.
For our middle and high school-aged students we have: “Understanding Credit” and “Tips for Creating a Budget” along with a fill-in budget worksheet to practice managing your own budget.
For our elementary-aged members we have: “Buford’s Budget” which is a practice budget worksheet, “How much money does Buford have?” a worksheet for practicing money identification and counting, and a “Credit Union Vocabulary” Crossword Puzzle with vocabulary definitions included.
