How to use Remote Xpress Deposit in the NCFCU Mobile App
NCFCU has many digital banking tools that allow you to control your finances at home or on the go. Long ago are the days where you had to drive to a branch to deposit checks to your NCFCU accounts. On the NCFCU Mobile App, using Remote Xpress Deposit (RXD) our members can deposit their checks with the click of their smart phone’s camera. Using RXD is super simple, time saving, and allows for immediate access of your money.
Here’s how it works:
Begin by downloading the free NCFCU Mobile App to your smart phone.
If you have an Android® phone or tablet, you will find the app in the Google Play Store. If you have an Apple® iPhone or iPad, you can download the app in the App Store. Note: RXD only works on the mobile app, not in Online Banking.
Make sure you are registered for Online and Mobile Banking.
If it is your first time using Online or Mobile Banking, you will need to register for online banking. If you are registered already, you can skip this step.
Start by clicking, “Enroll Here” this will take you to the New User Enrollment screen.
You can enroll in 2 easy steps.
In Step 1, you will verify you Identity by providing the following information:
– Your Primary Account Number to be Linked
– Your Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number
– Your Date of Birth
In Step 2, you will set up your new credentials by providing the following information:
– Your Email Address
– Your created username
– Your created password
Once registered, log in to the NCFCU Mobile App.
You will find RXD on the drop-menu (this looks like three horizontal bars), select the option “Deposit a Check”. You will need to Accept the Terms of Service to use RXD.
Prepare your check.
When you have checks that you would like to deposit remotely, you will need to prepare the checks properly to ensure they are ready for deposit. Make sure to sign the back of the check, and add “For remote deposit only – NCFCU” directly below the signature.
Ensure the check is eligible.
You are permitted to deposit up to $10,000 per day, with $500 for immediate use. If your check takes you over the $10,000 limit, we recommend reaching out to NCFCU to ensure your check is not rejected from RXD.
Capture photos of your check(s) to be deposited.
You will use your smart phone’s camera to capture photos of the front and back of the check. A box will appear around the check as you capture your image, please try to fit the check into this box as best as possible. The app will alert you when a sufficient photo has been captured.
Finally, you will enter the details for deposit by selecting the account(s) in which you would like your funds to be deposited. A drop-down menu will allow you to select the specific NCFCU account you would like to use, followed by the amount for deposit.
Once the app alerts you that your deposit has been accepted, you can file the check to ensure that your deposit occurs without error or keep it for your records.
